PURPOSE
STATEMENT

In early August, 2009, God said in a loud voice:

“Divine, there comes a time you want to be free, but if that freedom is not balanced by a sense of responsibility, resources that you have, and relationships, you are not yet ready”

Hence, our core purpose:

Bringing people to Christ that is balanced by a sense of responsibility, resourcefulness, accountability and the readiness to pursue their God-given commission.

Five Purposes of Our Ministry:

* Freedom
* Responsibility
* Resourcefulness
* Relationships (fellowship, community)
* Readiness (Service-oriented)

A principle found in Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians chapter eight and nine

(1) Readiness

We are sold out to reaching communities and bringing them to Christ as the ultimate model so that live up to the high expectations

(2) Freedom

We want to see amongst people uncaged worship, an attitude of joy in the face of great trials, and though may be facing extreme poverty let it trigger something totally unexpected: an outpouring of pure and generous gifts; the way of thinking, and acting befitting a liberal people not bound by materialism

(3) Relationships

Raise mature believers, encouraging membership and fellowship, a people at ease and unburdened, everyone having mutual concern for one another, as each one does its part for the organization to grow in love

(4) Sense of Responsibility

Build believers through discipleship to become noteworthy and remarkable, and who by themselves are willing to take actions without needing external push, self chosen and accountable for their choices acting without victim and defeatist mindset which blames others, and the system yet not doing anything about it

(5) Resources You Have

Teach and equip people to deploy their gifts for service, knowing a person is accepted according to what they have, and not according to what they do not have as long as they’re willing; not putting themselves in the same class with, or compare themselves with, those who recommend themselves; but everyone must take pride in their own work

What We Believe

In Better Nation, this is what we believe in and uphold . For us, they are firm and indisputable things:

  • Commandment of love expressed in the
  • Cross of Christ,
  • Communion of the saints or community where we hold each other accountable to God, and
  • Call to ministry of all believers
  • Head covering in prayers and prophesy as sign to us to teach
  • Headship of Christ and
  • Holy Spirit baptism
  • Reaching the lost for the return of Christ,
  • Reign of Christ, and
  • Reward in literal heaven and hell (4Rs)

I－Immersion baptism

We believe that the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ is perfectly expressed through the accurate practice of Immersion baptism. This we uphold without any contradiction.

  • Scriptures of the Bible as inspired, infallible, and inerrant and is given as our
  • Sole authority which speaks of Jesus as only way to
  • Salvation

Tithing as biblically ordained and relevant today as a way to partner with God in order to help spread the gospel, grow the church, take care of pastors, help the needy and strangers

Brief History of Our Commission

On Thursday 7, 2014, just arriving home from breakthrough and communion midweek service as a member of Global Impact Church, Lagos, God spoke that night saying, “Just as water overflows a land, instability will overtake your country Nigeria; I am sending you forth to build character for massive impact”－August 2014

This Kickstarted our ministry 301 Christian Network in 2nd November same year. And 7 years after, God spoke to start a church, Better Nation in 2021.

Over the years in a space of 7 years from 2014 to 2021, God clarified what He meant. In 2015, he said, “Teach Vision”, in 2016, “Your call is about organization”, in 2017 he emphasized in a night vision about restoring focus on Christ and ministry of the house or body, in 2018 he spoke about massive impact based on Judges 7:13, in 2019 he showed about Character based on Hebrews 1:3. Same year in 2019, we initiated our first ever conference, Better Country Conference. 2020 onwards became years on reemphasis and church vision.

Better Nation is located in the heart of Surulere, Lagos Nigeria.

We are a church that rotates facilities within Surulere. We pride ourselves as great geniuses.

I declare that I serve a better God. He has called me into better things. I am better in all things. I enjoy better things always. So I am getting better everyday, and I make things better always. The Church, Country and world is getting better because of me.

This better thing is my Character. My Character is Christ Himself. This is what God prepared me for. I serve it to people, feed it to them, and they eat it, and are satisfied.

People are salivating for this lifestyle because I am a pattern of Christ. They are craving for the character of Christ which I live out everyday. I am free from the corruption that is in the world that comes by lust and so have become a national cake.

For Christ sake I have a vision. God has prepared a vision for me. I am united with with Him in this vision. I listen frequently to God’s daily broadcast. This broadcast is Christ Himself. I know God’s state of mind. I follow His heartbeat always and that makes me a pacesetter. Hence, I set the pace for change in my world as Jesus did. I am a pioneer. I pioneer change, I pioneer new ways of thinking, and I pioneer new ways of doing things. I bring ideas, inventions, skills, leadership, goods, and services that is relevant to my world.

I make Massive Impact in every organisation I find myself. I am an organisational genius because I unite people together under God. I am a peace maker because I bring them under God’s rule. Glory and Amen!
